Design Brief
I was asked to do a Haiku which is a traditional short form of Japanese poetry
The Result
Following this brief, I created a haiku that reflected the Japanese poem I chose. The overall design of the Haiku, and the colours of the feel of the poeame mode's existing look and feel while incorporating compelling layouts in a way that is pleasing to look at and does not appear busy or cluttered. My goal was to have the feel of the poem itself.
My Process
Starting with brainstorming and sketching, I efficiently determined how my content would be distributed across the haiku spreads. From there, using my own style of design, I established a green colour palette. I wanted to make sure the colour palette and type reflected the tree's aesthetic, respected their guidelines, and mirrored the look of their new collection at the time of the idea of the pome.
